ISI stands for Inter-services intelligence of Pakistan, it is the most intelligent agency of Pakistan.
It is the number 1 agency all over the world.
Since 1971 ISI has been controlled by 3-star generals. In 1980 ISI was recognized Globally when it supported the Afghan Mujahideen.
ISI supported Mujahideen Against the Soviet Union during the Soviet-Afghan War in the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan.
ISI Jobs 2023
Many people think that ISI jobs vacancies are hidden, a common man can’t join this agency, but this thinking is totally wrong.
Both military, as well as civilian, are applicable for this job if they meet the eligibility criteria.
Civilian tests is taken by Federal Public Service Commission(FPSC) and similarly their selection and interview process.
Military people must apply through intelligence tests and if they pass the test then they have to serve through military intelligence then be admitted into the ISI job.
How to Join ISI as a Civilian?
People can also join ISI on a metric basis. FPSC announced ISI jobs in many newspapers and took tests.
Tests include Mcqs mostly contain subjects English, General knowledge, Current affairs.
After passing the Initial test candidates need to appear in a psychological test, this test includes picture drawing, sentence completion, and other tests.
After passing the initial and psychological test candidates will appear in the final interview.
Every candidate has three chances for ISI jobs, if a candidate fails the first time then he/she can appear again for this job, if you fail the second time then you can also appear for a third time after completing a master degree, after failing 3rd time he/she will not be eligible.
ISI jobs not only come for FSC students but graduate and master degree holders can also apply for these jobs, they also go through the same process mentioned above for Fsc students.
Normally Fpsc announces very few vacancies but those who get this job are lucky ones.
How to Join ISI as an Officer ?
This is an indirect way to join ISI as an Officer. For these candidates to complete their Fsc and apply for any armed force it may be Pakistan navy, Pakistan air force, or other Pakistan armed force.
You can join any armed force at any base; it may be an officer, through short service commission, through commissioned officer, or noncommissioned officer.
After all, tests are completed you will join the armed forces than from there they will send you to inter-service intelligence school.
In inter-service intelligence school, you have to complete your course/ Training of ISI.
After completing your course you will be posted as Field Intelligence Unit(FIU).
After selecting a field intelligence unit if your performance is good and satisfying your seniors then you will be permanently part of ISI.
ISI Salary
IsI Pakistan not only gives benefits but salaries of ISI employees is always higher as compared to other departments. The basic salary of ISI officers is 50000.
